Education

Below is an overview of the education NAMI of Summit County provides.

Family to Family

This free internationally acclaimed 12-session education course taught by trained family members, provides in-depth basic education and skill training for families and friends who cope with the daily issues involved when a loved one has a brain disorder. For many, this is where they find they are not alone, information is available, and they can learn to support recovery for their loved one. Materials furnished.

Contact Ron Rett at 330-670-9880 for dates and enrollment.

Hand to Hand

This program assists families of children diagnosed with serious emotional disturbances. A grant from the Ohio department of Mental Health makes it possible to expand this program across Ohio. Hand to Hand is an 8 week curriculum similar in structure to Family to Family, with each week dedicated to a particular aspect of a child’s mental illness.
